Loud music, people everywhere, costumes, food, alcohol, alcohol, alcohol, and craziness.
Supposedly the biggest carnival in South America outside of Brazil- Barranquilla hosts the craziest party in Colombia every year. If someone is not spraying you with foam, talcum powder, or shooting rum in your mouth than you were too busy dancing in the streets to get caught up. One week of insanity in the entire city- even the prisoners are hanging out the windows to get down.
