Ayahuasca - spiritual enlightenment

Ayahuasca is a natural medicine made by shamans from plants of the jungle and has been used for thousands of years. Aside fro intense hallucinations and visions, ayahuasca works as a guide in connecting oneself to the Earth, Universe, spirit world, and self. It cleans and regenerates the body and can cure disease. We were lucky enough to attend two ceremonies in a jungle lodge. The healing center is run by a German woman who came to the Amazon seeking an alternative means of battling cancer. As a nurse and healer her self she worked together with shamans to rid her body of the cancer and hasn´t looked back since. Now free of cancer she works and lives in the rain forest where she established a healing center for the community and has been practicing medicine their for next to free. Aside from practicing alternative medicine she has a ayahuasca lodge on her property where a shaman will come and guide you in a ceremony. The shaman says he can cure Parkinson's disease in thirty days and Miriam is living proof that it can cure cancer. Surrounded by rivers, waterfalls, animals, and the sounds of the jungle, we had two nights of what i would say has been the most enlightening experience of either of our lives. -I have no pictures of the ceremony itself or of the shaman out of respect- but i can offer some pictures of the lodge and property, as well as some art from people who have painted what they have seen. If you would like to read more of my thoughts or info on our experience -email me and request an excerpt from my journal entries at rynox3@hotmail.com

The photos are great! If you have a minute I would like to hear about the ayahuasca experience, it´s always interesting to hear the stories from others. The setting lookes perfect for it.
