Pampalona - San Fermin

That's right... you know how the ninjas do! We happened to be in the Spain during the running of the bulls - San Fermin... so we had to do it. Sh*t's crazy, picture hundreds of drunkards mixed with rich European families raging 24 hours around the clock for a week- then throw in some angry bulls and you've got a party. We arrived to mayhem on the streets of Pampalona after a 5 hour bus ride. We walked the streets (which reek of piss and beer), explored the fair, watched fireworks, then decided we needed to escape the madness for a while. With there being no hotels or hostels available, We bought a bottle of wine and some coke (popular drink in Spain) and found a lawn of an apartment complex for our campsite.

The next morning we woke up before the sun came up and tightened up our shoelaces for an experience of a life time. All I can say is that they pack hundreds of drunken lunatics tightly crammed within streets barricaded by wooden barriers together, then shoot off a gun and let the bulls loose into the streets- every one for them selves. I haven't run that fast in a long time.

More people were injured and killed in this San Fermin than in any other according to a news clip we read. It was a really fun adrenalin rush that was quick to start and ended even faster. We made it home safely with another story to tell.
