Agra is home to the Taj-Mahal and we arrived during a festival called Diwali. Diwali is basically when every one gets wasted and spends the entire night lighting off fire works into the sky, at each other, and passing motorbikes and pedestrians. We watched the madness unfold from our roof top, only later to hear on the news of countless injuries and destruction of the city. It is similar to the 4th of July- except fireworks are legal and on every street corner, and it is a holy celebration.
The next day we visited the Taj, took our pictures, and rushed to our train to Delhi. It is exactly how you would imagine it except for the 2000 visitors that are there with you. The building itself is immense and is just as ornate as its size.
In Delhi we stayed only for one night and one day and spent our time exploring the main bazaar which is pure madness. Then we headed to the airport and took probably our nicest flight on Jetairways to India. Movies, great food, gift bag, and best of all- arriving in Thailand.
